Tomic Challenge - Create your own background

This week the challenge over at TOMIC is create your own background.  For my background I embossed my cardstock with the Cuttlebug Victoria embossing folder, and then I coloured over the embossed areas with my Copic pens in green, orange & blue.

Tomic Challenge Recycle

This week over at The TOMIC Challenge  The topic is to RECYCLE, so I have used this Moccona Coffee Jar.  Sorry the photo is not too good.  The light kept reflecting off the jar.

I decorated my jar using Jillibean Papers, Wild Orchid  and Bizzy Bec flowers, Kaiser pearls and some lace.
The die for the tag is from Marianne Creatables.

This is my card that I will be entering into the TOMIC Challenge # 11 Monochromatic

I found this rather challenging trying to work in one colour.  I also had a lot of trouble trying to photograph this.  I think I need to make myself a photo light. box.  If anyone has any suggestions on how to do this, they would be gratefully appreciated.

My First Challenge

Today I will be entering my very first challenge.  TOMIC Challenge #10 Masking. This is my card that I am entering.

Thursday, 11 August 2011

Well I have finally created my first blog but I am still learning how it all works.  I started out as a scrapbooker but now I really enjoy card making, so I would like to share some of my creations with you.  I love looking at all the beautiful craft work that so many of you talented crafters post on your blogs and this is what gave me the inspiration to try to start my own. I guess I will learn as I go along. This is a magnolia card that I made for my Daughter in law for her birthday.  I love the magnolia stamps and I am learning to colour with copics. Who knows!!  I may even  enter one of my cards into one of the blog challenges when I work out how to do that.

My very first blog post
